About Us

The Maine Association of Payroll Professionals was established in 1991 as the first Maine-based chapter of the American Payroll Association. MAPP is a community of individuals with an interest in the payroll profession joined together for the purpose of increasing knowledge of payroll practices, compliance requirements and statutory changes. We achieve these goals through statewide seminars, newsletters, our website and professional certification study groups.

MAPP membership dues are $40.00 for one year, which begins on the date of registration. We encourage new members to join any time throughout the year, and will remind active members of their approaching expiration one month prior to the renewal date.

Our full day seminars are held three times per year and we strive to provide a wide variety of speakers to present timely information on important payroll topics. The meeting fee is $65 for members, or $85 for guests. A continental breakfast and buffet lunch is provided at each of these meetings, providing for additional networking opportunities with peers. In addition, our meetings typically provide 5.5 Recertification Credit Hours (RCH’s) for both CPP and FPC certified individuals.

As the only local APA chapter for the state of Maine, MAPP represents a vast geographic area and a wide array of employers and industries from around the state. Our members find great benefits in the opportunity to connect with payroll professionals across industries and geographic locations, and as an Association we are always looking to increase the number of these opportunities available to our members.
